Here are some of the most notable script sales from June 2022.
- Focus Features and MXN will produce writer Diablo Cody’s next movie Lisa Frankenstein. Cole Sprouse and Kathryn Newton will star, and Zelda Williams will direct.
- Bee-Hive Productions and the New Zealand Film Commission will produce writer/director Alice Englert’s dark comedy Bad Behavior. Jennifer Connelly and Ben Whishaw will star.
- Star Thrower Entertainment is moving forward with The Threesome. The rom-com, written by Ethan Ogilby, will star Logan German and Phoebe Dynevor, and Chad Hartigan will direct.
- Paramount Pictures, Balboa Productions (Sylvester Stallone), Gorilla 8 Productions, and B&C Content have set to remake the South Korean thriller The Gangster, The Cop, The Devil. Don Lee (Ma Dong-seok) will produce and reprise his role. Lee Won-tae wrote and directed the original film.
- Process Media will produce writer/director John McNaughton’s upcoming thriller Road Rage. Michael Rooker attached to star.
- Lionsgate and Hyperobject Industries (Adam McKay) will produce Breeders, written by Brian Steele from an idea by McKay and Steele. Kelsey Bollig will direct, and Olivia Cooke is attached to star.
- A24, Killer Films, and Grand Motel Films are moving forward with writer/director Aaron Schimberg’s psychological thriller A Different Man. Sebastian Stan, Renate Reinsve, and Adam Pearson will star.
