Karim Flint is a British-Tunisian screenwriter now living in Copenhagen. Here he’s discovered his inner Viking Skald through the writing of epic sagas, cold plunges in the harbour and resisting the urge to pillage his neighbours’ harvest.
A grad of the London Film School his first script sale, to the Tokyo based Marza Animation Planet, was the family horror/comedy BITE ME. This was the chilling tale of a vampire dentist, because nothing quite scares the author like bad dental work and snooty monsters in evening wear.
Since then Karim has been a jobbing writer for companies such as the BBC, Vertigo Films, Character 7, Orchid Pictures and Sky Studios, turning out everything from sacrilegious sitcoms to explodey crime dramas. Most recently Karim was in the writers’ room for season 4 of the hit action series BULLETPROOF, whilst continuing to option multiple TV and feature scripts.
As an award-winning raconteur Karim was one of the inaugural London Library Emerging Writers 2019. And in 2024/2025 he was a finalist in The Residency, the BFI funded genre screenplay incubator. During this period Karim developed the script AUTO, drafts of which have gone on to reach the semi-finals of Final Draft – Big Break and the Outstanding Screenplays Feature Competition.
When he’s not writing Karim is thrashing about Vesterbro on his trusty Long John bicycle the “Jolly Roger”, reading comic books and making increasingly byzantine arts and crafts projects (please ask him about his latest TMNT Michelangelo build).
Karim is a member of the WGGB and is represented in the UK by Andy Townsend at Long Road Talent.
