Caleb Dillon is a writer/director seeking partners and opportunities in filmmaking.

Hailing from a dusty coal town too small to contain his ambitions, Caleb writes character-driven dramas, grand adventures, and historical portraits, creating in both the TV and feature space. Caleb was honored as a 2025 double-finalist in both the Humanitas David & Lynn Angell College Comedy Award and the Carol Mendelsohn College Drama Award.

As a filmmaker, Caleb has produced four short films in two years. His short, Good Behavior, won awards as a script before being produced. In 2014, Caleb directed an independent horror feature, In the Pines, produced on a shoestring budget. When the production company closed, Caleb reacquired the project to complete it and is currently seeking distribution. Caleb is a producer on Spookies 2, a sequel to the 1984 cult classic.

Caleb taught screenwriting at Central Washington University. He previously taught at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts while earning his MFA in Screenwriting, mentored by Pilar Alessandra. After graduation, Caleb interned for both NightOwl Stories and Highland Film Group, providing coverage and (albeit unprompted) development notes on hundreds of screenplays.

A twice-over alma mater of UNCSA, Caleb earned a B.A. in filmmaking from the School of the Arts, mentored by former head of the NBC Story Department Dona Cooper and Sundance Collab Ron Stacker-Thompson. Caleb attended the UCLA School of Theatre, Film & Television, Professional Program in Screenwriting, graduating in 2021.

When not writing, Caleb enjoys painting, gaming, and husbandry.
