
Daniel Zagayer is a director and cinematographer based in Los Angeles. A graduate of USC's School of Cinematic Arts, his first feature script, Poker, was awarded Best Screenplay and earned him a scholarship to USC's screenwriting program. He is currently developing his feature Big Girl Face.
He began his career in comedy, directing branded content and sketches for Funny or Die and Yahoo! featuring Glen Powell, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Jimmy Tatro, and David Krumholtz. He also edited the live action puppet show Blark and Son for Comedy Central and studied improv at the Upright Citizens Brigade. As a cinematographer, he has shot for HBO Max, Discovery, Netflix, Hulu, CBS, National Geographic, History Channel, and the Travel Channel, filming in over 50 countries.
He has also produced and directed numerous short films, including the award-winning An Evening at the Diner, which premiered at the TCL Chinese Theatre and was an official selection at Dances With Films. He currently directs historical recreations for Hustlers, Gamblers, Crooks and The Expedition Files with Emmy winner Josh Gates for HBO Max and Discovery.
Hunter Cope + Adam Aseraf are a writing team who have developed projects with Point Grey / Lionsgate, Funny or Die / Woodhead Entertainment, Party Over Here and The Tannenbaum Company.
They have been staffed as Co-Producers on Disney Channel's Gabby Duran and the Unsittables. They also collaborated on the Stoopid Buddy Stoodios / Comedy Central Digital project Blark & Son which Adam co-directed and EP'd while Hunter served as Executive Story Editor. They have previously developed original live-action pilots with Nickelodeon and Disney Channel.
Alumni of the Disney Channel Storytellers Program, their prior writing credits as a team include Walk the Prank (Disney XD), the Emmy-nominated Sanjay & Craig (Nickelodeon) and In the Ring with Daisy King, an Audible podcast in partnership with Paramount Pictures.
Independently, Hunter created, hosts and executive produces The Perfect Parfait, a deliciously layered comedy interview show featuring guests including Dave Franco, Paul Walter Hauser, Tim Heidecker, and David Wain.
Most recently, Hunter Cope and Adam Aseraf are writing the latest film for Heartbeat Productions starring Kevin Hart, to be released on Netflix.
