David Warner is a multi-award-winning British film and television editor based in Wells, Somerset — officially the smallest city in England. With over 30 years in broadcast television, he has built a career specializing in natural history documentaries and children’s drama — two genres that have allowed him to develop a sharp instinct for narrative, character, and pacing.
His editing work has earned major accolades, including a Jackson Wild Award for Frozen Planet 2 and a Royal Television Society Award for BBC Edens.
Five years ago, David turned to screenwriting — and fell in love with it (his wife would say obsessed). Since then, he’s written six commissioned scripts for the BBC — Andy’s Aquatic Adventures and Andy’s Global Adventures — all produced and aired, with one earning a BAFTA nomination. He has also completed two spec features: Elixir, a fantasy period romance, and The Pencil Case, an animated adventure about a time-traveling pencil.
