Dylon Goris is an Afro-Latino writer raised on the border of Brooklyn and Queens, writing stories that straddle the border of the absurdly fantastic and our everyday lives. Dylon grew up in a household with four generations of his Dominican, Cuban, and Puerto Rican family all under one roof. Naturally, his stories are filled with complex and colorful characters. Inspired by his family’s larger-than-life tales of fleeing dictatorships and persevering in new worlds, Dylon began writing about families formed both by birth and by choice – families made up of pioneering characters who reject the stories handed to them and set out to forge their own.
After becoming the first person in his family to graduate from college, Dylon turned down an opportunity to pursue postgraduate studies in medicine at Columbia University in favor of moving to Los Angeles and joining the circus of Hollywood. Since receiving his M.A. in Television, Radio, and Film from his undergraduate alma mater, Syracuse University, Dylon has achieved early success as a screenwriter, being featured on the Black List’s Top List. He is a 2024 alum of the NHMC’s Series Scriptwriters Fellowship and a 2026 alum of the Hillman Grad Mentorship Lab. Dylon currently lives in Los Angeles, where his industry experience includes working in development for Cedric the Entertainer’s production company, A Bird and A Bear Entertainment. While Dylon loves the California sunshine, legend has it he’s still hunting for a decent plate of mofongo.

So why not another fantasy script in 2026? Paramount Primal picked up […]
