
Jennifer Wilton is a New Zealand-based screenwriter with a Master of Arts in Creative Writing from Victoria University of Wellington and a diploma in Writing for Film, Television and Games from Vancouver Film School in Canada. A former New Zealand diplomat who served in Russia and Japan for nearly a decade, she draws on her global experience to craft high-octane thrillers that often center on ordinary people thrust into extreme situations. Her scripts have received accolades from the Austin Film Festival, PAGE International Screenwriting Awards, Stage 32, and Final Draft’s Big Break Contest. When she’s not writing, she works as a Senior Co-Production Executive at the New Zealand Film Commission, advising filmmakers on official co-productions with New Zealand and on accessing New Zealand’s screen incentives.
