
Nepal Arslan is a Turkish-American filmmaker and educator. A graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts - where he attended on a full-ride merit scholarship - Nepal has written and directed multiple award-winning narrative films, alongside over 40 commercials for high-value corporate clients and brands.
His films have been recognized at Oscar-qualifying festivals such as LA Shorts International Film Festival and the Rhode Island International Film Festival, and earned honors at the San Diego Film Awards, Austin Film Festival, NFFTY, and TINDIE. In 2019, he was invited to give a TEDx talk about his journey as a young filmmaker.
From 2020 to 2024, Nepal served as Director of Video Production at KCOMM, one of California’s leading PR firms. He is now the Head of Digital Media Production and Broadcast Journalism at the state-of-the-art film studio in the Career Technical Education program at Poway Unified School District, where he teaches over 150 students each year—mentoring the next generation of storytellers.
Drawing from his multicultural upbringing and lifelong background in meditation, Nepal is currently focused on his debut feature film Bear Boy - a mythic coming-of-age story about courage, connection, and self-discovery.
