Patrick Westwater is a commissioned television writer, director, and producer whose California-born, Massachusetts-raised sensibility drives work that blends drama, mystery, suspense, action, and dark comedy. His scripts have earned recognition from the Austin Film Festival (Second Round), PAGE International Screenwriting Awards (Semifinalist), ScreenCraft Horror Competition (Finalist), and Academy Nicholl Fellowship (Top 460). Multiple scripts have consistently placed on The Black List website's top lists, with overall scores of 8 or above. A versatile storyteller across formats, he has written, directed, produced, and acted in multiple short films, with additional experience spanning narrative podcasts, branded campaigns, music video direction, and documentary story producing and creative development for major clients including Skydance Sports, ESPN, and Formula 1. He holds a BA from the University of Miami and a hard-earned degree in self-deprecation from growing up Irish-Catholic outside of Boston.
