Raymond Cho is a Los Angeles–based writer and emergency physician who has spent nearly twenty years on the front lines of medicine. He writes character-driven stories about the people entrusted with saving lives—even as they struggle to hold their own together. His career in the ER has given him a front-row seat to humanity at its most harrowing, heartbreaking, hilarious, and absurd (and there’s LOTS of absurdity). Through it all, Raymond has come to believe that beneath the chaos, people are far more alike than they are different. His work explores that common ground—and the incredible efforts made by ordinary human beings to find themselves when the stakes are life and death.
In addition to his work in the Emergency Department, Raymond has served as a critical care transporter, on-set medic, and television medical consultant (Viable Threat, NBC). He’s also an avid comic book collector, a self-proclaimed kick-ass pickleball player, and - after once reducing Tony Hawk’s dislocated fingers - a briefly internet-famous doctor. He currently resides in Eagle Rock, CA with his two beautiful yet woefully over-opinionated children.

So why not another fantasy script in 2026? Paramount Primal picked up […]
