Semifinalist Signs w/Management After Development Process

October 28, 2025

Just a few months after the contest announcement, 2025 Screenwriting semifinalist Nick Porisch signed with manager Jake Wagner (Alibi Management).

Pipeline execs helped Nick develop his Semi-placing script Beautiful Morning prior to pitching direct to Jake.

From Nick: “Working with Script Pipeline has been an incredible and super rewarding process. They’ve been helpful and supportive every step of the way, from developing my project to connecting me with reps. Would not be in this position without them!”

This is the second writer Jake signed in 2025, joining 2023 Screenwriting finalist Colin McLaughlin (Buzzkill). Jake has previously signed winners Evan Daugherty (Snow White and the Huntsman), Tripper Clancy (Stuber), and several others over a decades-long relationship with Pipeline.

The Pipeline team called Beautiful Morning an "entertaining mashup of comedy, action, and timeless commentary on [so many different universal issues] ... (we'll spare you the spoilers)."

Since implementing a development-heavy process for all Quarterfinalists and Semifinalists, where writers are able to resubmit their scripts for notes and circulation consideration, many have been able to find management representation and connect with producers, a handful of which due to direct intros by Pipeline.
